Jim visited The Humidor a couple of times for a cigar and nightcap. I would have joined him just to be sociable, but cigar smoking (any kind of smoking) is only allowed inside the Humidor, and not on the adjacent deck. The restaurant is on Deck 4, aft, and the menu will change with the seasons. For a small ship, Evrima has a varied range of dining options with five restaurants, 24-hour in-suite dining and a constant supply of culinary snacks in the Living Room that change depending on the time of day or night. The main Evrima Room restaurant is on the same deck at the stern, though other dining venues are scattered across different decks, as are outdoor spaces with the sheltered Marina Terrace on Deck 3 where Evrima’s marina is housed. Evrima is the first of three sleek superyachts marking hotel giant Ritz-Carlton’s debut in the cruise world as the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. Originally due to launch in February 2020, the all-suite ship suffered a catalogue of delays that caused the maiden voyage to be put back eight times until it finally departed Barcelona in October 2022. With a maximum capacity for 26 diners, S.E.A. is small yet not quite secluded.

Ship's main social hubs are The Observation Lounge (top-deck) and The Living Room (ship entrance hall / Atrium Lobby lounge, also doubling as Cafe and Library). The ship doesn't have a dedicated Theater (show lounge) or Casino (gambling lounge). Rising 10 decks high and with capacity for nearly 300 passengers, Evrima is notably bigger than the vessels operated by these other brands, though it still has a yachtlike shape. Whether the ship really is ready to run at the sort of luxury level Ritz-Carlton fans expect remains to be seen.

Waiters and bartenders come across as friendly and confident; there’s none of that slight sense of panic you sometimes feel on a brand-new ship. Marina Terrace is an open-air deck space (served by Marina Bar) offering 270-degree panoramic views. This outdoor area is covered by a retractable glass roof and can be operated as al fresco dining lounge by day and as a disco nightclub in the evenings. As a dining venue, Marina Terrace serves a variety of dishes prepared a la minute, as well as handcrafted cocktails.

We made our way back to the ship in the late afternoon in time to enjoy afternoon tea in The Living Room. In addition to the restaurants and lounges, in-suite dining is available 24/7. We opted for breakfast in our suite each morning and placed our breakfast card out before bed every night. Our breakfast always arrived right on time and we ate on our terrace. All suites also have their own private balcony, or terrace as they are called, and another signature feature are higher ceilings, allowing for a more airy feel. Some suites are separated by a soundproof blind wall which slides back enabling them to be combined into larger more open spaces for guests wanting more extensive and flexible accommodation. Outside is the adjacent Observation Terrace, a lovely outdoor space to spill out into from the lounge on warm evenings, while during the day this is a quiet hideaway deck with sun-beds and captain’s chairs where guests can enjoy elevated views.
